Masjid Kapitan Keling @ Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling
Masjid Kapitan Keling was built at the start of the 19th century. It came to represent the Indian Muslim community of Geroge Town. Its present structure was renovated twice, with the facade of the building and its interior decorated in Islamic geometric design. Founded in 1801 by an Indian-Muslim merchant, Cauder Mydin Merican, this is one of the oldest mosques in Penang. It is crowned by distinctive yellow domes and has influences of Moorish architecture. Open at 1pm - 5pm (Sat-Thursday) Free admission.

Sri Mahamariamman Temple @ Lebuh Queen
Sri Mahamariamman Temple was built in 1883, dedicated to the HIndu deity Sri Muthu Mariamman, is one of the oldest temples in Penang, with its history all the way to 1801, where the present site began as a humble Hindu shrine. The gateway, or gopuram, is magnificently sculptured with 38 Hindu deities. Inside, the Lord Subramaniam statue is richly decorated with gold, silver, diamonds and emeralds. Open at 8am-12 noon, 4pm-9pm daily.

Clock Tower @ Lebuh Light
Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower is located near Fort Cornwallis at King Edward's Place. The 60-foot clocktower was Penang milionaire Cheah Chen Eok's symbol of wealth and oppulence, built in 1897 to commemorate the 60th year of Queen Victoria's reign.  
Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion @ 14, Lebuh Leith
Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, which won the 2000 Most Excellent Award of Unesco Asia-Pacific for Culture Heritage Conservation, is a grand and intricate setate built by one of the wealthiest tycoons at the turn of the 20th century. The mansion, which covers the terrace houses at the opposite side, is a fusion of Oriental and Western architecture. Conducted Tours at 11am and 3pm everyday. Other times of the day closed to the public. 1880's Chinese courtyard mansion. An architectural legacy with 38 rooms, 5 courtyards, 7 staircases and a fascinating display of 'feng shui' subtleties.

Floating Mosque @ Tanjung Bunga
Malaysia's first floating mosque at the sea is located along the scenic stretch of Tanjung Bunga. Accomodating up to 1,500 worshippers, the mosque features a blend of local and Middle Eastern architecture with a seven-storey minaret. There is an open space for visitors to sea gaze peacefully.

 Built in 1978, Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak (KOMTAR) is Penang's tallest building, rising 65 storeys. Named after the late Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak bin Hussein, the complex is a shopping mall, business hub and the home to the Penang's State Government.

Sun Yat Sen Memorial Centre@Macalister Road
Housed within the Penang Philomatic Union after the building was renovated in 2002, the centre is open to those who wish to learn about Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the revolutionary leader commonly referred to as the Founding Father of Republican China and his activites in Penang. 120, Armenian Street was once the base of operation for Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the liberator of China from centuries of feudalism. An extensive collection of Dr. Sun's personal effects are displayed in the gallery. A centre to preserve and commemorate the actvities that happened in Penang that was so significant to the history of China in the beginning of the 20th century.  Opening at 9am-5pm daily and closed on Sundays.

PERHENTIAN ISLAND VACATION TRIP 2011

Salam|Namastee|Good Day| It's been 1 week I have leaved Perhentian Island............I extremely missing the island, missing the blue sandy water and the wonderful memories with wonderful people around me.....:-( I wish I can go back again perhaps next year. Anyway to my dearest Zaffira here I come to share my Perhentian Island trip plus wonderful pictures for you to see. I went to Perhentian Island in Terengganu on 14 - 16 May 2011, 2D2N within budget RM420 all in. We leaved KL on Saturday night (13th May) at 10.30 pm from KL Sentral by AGAG Tour & Travel bus (chartered). The journey roughly 7 to 8 hours to reach to Kuala Besut Jetty in Terangganu. Due to some technical problem during the journey we delay 2 hours and end up we reached Kuala Besut jetty at 9.30 am in the morning instead of 6 am (this is the correct estimated time we supposed to be there ) anyway that is not the big issue as long as we reach safely to our destinations.
