The Birth of The Aryani

Located on the quiet sandy beach of Terengganu facing the Redang National Marine Park is The Aryani Resort. With just 25 villa units to ensure exclusively and privacy, The Aryani Resort is a cultural retreat offering the finest collection of authentic Malay Culture and artifacts. The owner, an architect and conservationist, wants The Aryani Resort to be a total cultural experience. The state of Terengganu, which has one of the longest coastlines in Malaysia, has been widely regarded as the cradle of Malay civilization in Malaysia. Its rich heritage of hand woven gold thread 'Songket', brassware, fine-wood carving, and batik are amongst the local handicrafts used throughout The Aryani.

The Aryani layout is based on the classical concept of the Malay settlement. The main buildings, where visitors arrive at represents the Sultan's 'Istana' (Palace) or 'Kota' (Fortress). Amongst the unique features of The Aryani Resort is the hundred - year- old timber 'Heritage Suite' which has been dismantled and rebuilt on the resort site. The 'Heritage Suite' is part of the original timber Palaces Complex of Royal households from the previous Century. It offers guests the unique experience of living in an ancient Malay Timber Palace.

For guests to sample the delights of local cuisines, The Aryani Resort offers three food outlets ;
  • The Serai ~ open air restaurant, more casual and informal
  • The Hikayat ~ Fine dining that is fully air-conditioned and offers an intimate ambience for those wanting more privacy
  • Pulau Beach Club ~ is a much laid back and rustic open pavilion right on the beach.
Central Courtyard


The Centre Courtyard resembling an ancient village square holds the swimming pool with the three elevated pavilions built around it. These pavilions are used by the traditional 'Gamelan' musicians in the evenings for their performances. The Central Courtyard is the recreational and traditional performances area popularly used by guests. In the evening, the Centre Courtyard comes alive with the tantalizing music of the classical 'Gamelan' Orchestra.

Just off the beach of The Aryani are the various islands of the National Marine Park offering crystal clear diving waters and rich coral communities. A shot boat ride away is one of the finest Marine Parks of Peninsular Malaysia.

The Heritage Spa open daily from 10.00am to 6.00pm. Offers traditional treatment for hair and body including traditional massage upon appointment at Aryani Front Desk.

PERHENTIAN ISLAND VACATION TRIP 2011

Salam|Namastee|Good Day| It's been 1 week I have leaved Perhentian Island............I extremely missing the island, missing the blue sandy water and the wonderful memories with wonderful people around me.....:-( I wish I can go back again perhaps next year. Anyway to my dearest Zaffira here I come to share my Perhentian Island trip plus wonderful pictures for you to see. I went to Perhentian Island in Terengganu on 14 - 16 May 2011, 2D2N within budget RM420 all in. We leaved KL on Saturday night (13th May) at 10.30 pm from KL Sentral by AGAG Tour & Travel bus (chartered). The journey roughly 7 to 8 hours to reach to Kuala Besut Jetty in Terangganu. Due to some technical problem during the journey we delay 2 hours and end up we reached Kuala Besut jetty at 9.30 am in the morning instead of 6 am (this is the correct estimated time we supposed to be there ) anyway that is not the big issue as long as we reach safely to our destinations.
